Why are we developing Marsereum?

Well, there are two main reasons why we believe there should be bigger support for the multi-planetary endeavor. The first one is, that we cannot continue living on this planet forever. Although we believe in the fight against climate change, even if we are successful, the sun will ultimately expand and eliminate all life on earth. To rescue not only humanity but also the precious life all around us, going multi-planetary is key.

If this reason is not convincing enough for you, how about pure inspiration, excitement, and curiosity? Should life not be about more than problem-solving?

Allowing ourselves to dream and to be excited about the possibility of humans as multi-planetary beings is something that fuels us and that has inspired humanity for centuries.

Why name it Marsereum?

Marsereum(MTH) is a neologism out of Mars and Ethereum. We chose this name because we want to build an ERC20-Token on the Ethereum Blockchain to support Mars-related organizations with their work.

What is the Marsereum and how does it work?

With the first spaceship landing on Mars, our multi-planetary era will begin. Looking forward to this event, we as a community want to contribute to our future life on Mars.

As our expertise lies in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, we decided to create a donation coin for our journey to Mars, the Marsereum. Based on the Ethereum blockchain, the MTH is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency.

Our main goal consists of supporting ongoing Mars projects and their respective organizations.This is the reason behind the newly developed donation concept of the coin by which both parties, the companies, and the donors, gain economic advantages.

MTH is an ERC-20 token designed with a reflection mechanism. Reflection tokens are also known as reward tokens because they pay token holders a portion of collected fees simply for holding them through a static reward system.

The rewards or “reflections” will be financed with a 5% buy and sell fee. The fee is divided into the following:

- 1% will be kept for development and marketing
- 2% will be redistributed to chosen organizations
- 2% will be distributed to all holders in relation to the amount of MTH they have in their wallets.

The process is completed through a reflection mechanism that uses smart contracts to distribute the tokens to all investors in the liquidity pool.

The 1% reflections for development and marketing will be held on the deployment wallet. 0,5% of MTH in the deployment wallet will be swapped each month on random dates in Ethereum to pay invoices, personnel, and other stuff.

The 2% reflections for the chosen organizations will be kept in the contract under direct management from the Marsereum Governor to be sent to chosen organizations.

The 2% reflections for the coin holders will be distributed to all holders in relation to the amount of MTH they have in their wallets. The reflections will be kept in the contract under direct management from the Marsereum Governor. Holders will be able to claim their rewards whenever they want on the website.

The reflection mechanism will be triggered when the accumulated buy and sell fees reach the amount of 200 million MTH.

To get people to Mars as soon as possible, at launch 15% of the total coin amount will be donated to chosen organizations. We hope to include the following organizations and will expand the list if some are unavailable:

- The Mars Society (2,1 billion MTH)
- Mars Foundation (2,1 billion MTH)
- Mars University (2,1 billion MTH)

How does the Marsereum Governor work?

Our on-chain voting and introducing proposals will be done in with "tally.xyz". Tally is a voting and governance analysis tool that allows members of a protocol DAO to vote on active on-chain proposals, delegate votes to a third party, or view previous proposals.

So when you bought Marsereum and you would like to participate in Marsereum Governance you can visit the mentioned above link.

On that page you can basically do three things:
- Delegate your vote
- Vote on the proposal
- Issue a new proposal 

Before you can vote or issue a new proposal, you have to delegate your vote, either to yourself or a trusted representative. To vote on a proposal scroll to active proposals and click on the proposal to view the details and submit your vote.To issue a new proposal, you have to create a new proposal on that page and type in the details and publish your issue.

You have the ability to create proposals on the following subjects:
- Proposing new organizations for donation
- Suggesting the removal of organizations from the donation program
- Modifying buy or sell fees

Voting require a minimum stake of 20% of the total coin amount for the voting to be accepted.

Organizations that are recipients of the coin will not be granted voting rights to prevent manipulation. 

Furthermore, the maximum amount of MTH that can be bought in one transaction is set at 5% of the total coin amount. Besides that a single wallet can hold a maximum of 5% of the total coin amount. These limits help to prevent concentration of power, promote fair distribution, and reduce market manipulation risks. They also foster an active, diverse, and engaged community,contributing to the coin's stability and long-term success.

What happens with MTH when we build our first outpost on Mars?

The completion of the first outpost on Mars will be the starting signal to reduce our support for the Mars organizations by ending the donations of staking rewards. At this point, we should consider two new purposes for the MTH.

After settling down on Mars, there will be a need for a new currency. In contrast to fiat currencies, blockchain technology holds many advantages for a Mars currency. So, there is the possibility that MTH can be reprogrammed from adonation/support coin to the new Mars currency.

On the other hand, the first outpost on Mars is only the beginning of our multi-planetary species. In space, there is much more to discover. So why stop at our galaxy? With the help of the MTH other projects that look into further deepening our understanding and exploration of the universe could be supported.

When the time comes to decide in which direction the coin’s purpose will develop, voting will take place in the MTH community. This voting is planned approximately two years before our first outpost on Mars is finished so that we can develop and plan for our new purpose in the future.
